Direct Support Professionals - Pay Rate: $18 hour

Description

HBD is looking for qualified and caring Direct Support Professionals to join our team! We have 9 locations throughout Broward County, Florida that provides residential and day services for adults and teens with intellectual disabilities and intensive behavior challenges. 

 Responsibilities:

• Supervision and support to ensure health and safety
• Skill training and support in daily living activities
• Community integration
• Behavioral interventions and implementation
• Assist individuals on medical appointments
• Medication dispensing

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Requirements

• One year experience providing direct services in a medical, psychiatric, nursing, child care setting OR working with persons who have developmental disabilities required
• High school diploma/GED required
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; be able to push, pull, reach, bend, and squat
• Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to other locations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills a must
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) a plus
• Bilingual (Spanish, Creole) a plus
