Director, Accounting & Tax Advisory

We’re seeking a Director to lead our Tax & Accounting Advisory (SAT) business unit. This senior leadership role carries Managing Director-level responsibility—driving client relationships, leading and developing a high-performing team, and shaping the strategic growth of the practice. The ideal candidate is a strategic advisor, business builder, and collaborative leader with deep expertise in tax strategy, accounting, and entrepreneurial advisory.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as a trusted advisor to entrepreneurial clients, delivering proactive, year-round tax planning and integrated advisory solutions.
• Provide guidance on complex business and financial matters including M&A, entity structuring, and succession planning.
• Act as a thought partner for client executives, helping them achieve both immediate and long-term business goals.
• Drive the growth strategy and revenue targets for the SAT practice.
• Build and maintain a robust client pipeline through networking, referrals, and partnership opportunities.
• Collaborate across Sharp’s integrated units—Wealth, Investment Banking, and Family Office—to expand holistic client solutions.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Associates, Seniors, and Managers to deliver exceptional client service.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
• Oversee P&L ownership, budgeting, and forecasting for the SAT practice.
• Identify and implement operational improvements and technology enhancements to increase efficiency and client value.

• 12+ years of progressive experience in tax, accounting, and advisory services, with 5+ years in a leadership role.

• Demonstrated success in building and managing client relationships and driving business growth.
• CPA required
• Expertise in complex tax planning, entity structuring, and business advisory strategies.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
