ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Lead, direct, and grow Y-12’s commercial deposit and treasury services
- Create, develop, and execute on the commercial deposit strategy.
- Gain new commercial members and deepen product penetration among new and existing commercial members.
- Review and improve processes and systems, eliminate inefficiencies, and utilize technology where available to increase productivity. Make recommendations for changes to policies and procedures that correlate with deposit vision.
- Work closely with retail and deposit management to integrate commercial deposit and treasury services.
- Develop commercial deposit/account branch support via video channel.
- Provide support for commercial lenders to expand deposit services.
- Branch liaison for commercial deposits and new accounts.
- Act as commercial deposit/account opening expert.
- Review/develop/maintain commercial deposit product suite.
- Product, feature, and pricing development –including checking, savings, merchant services, treasury, etc.
- Responsible for treasury services management
- Oversee True Treasury relationship
- Evaluate, develop, and implement best practices for delivering treasury services.
- Grow product offering and establish pricing model
- Develop staff’s comfort level with Treasury services
- Create and lead a strong training program for commercial and treasury
- Track growth and trending data
- Work with staff and management to develop commercial deposit skills
- Increase referral production
- Commercial deposit product sales training and development
- Outbound sales for commercial accounts
- Identify commercial deposit opportunities and develop onboarding plan
- Perform other job related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE
- Eight to ten years similar or related experience.
- Equivalent to a college degree (BS or BA in a relevant field).
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Strong selling and negotiating skills with proven sales abilities.
- Knowledge of the principals of commercial lending and commercial banking laws. Aptitude to assimilate applicable state banking and NCUA Member Business Loan regulations, as well as the Credit Union's Member Business Loan policies and procedures.
- Strong leadership with the ability to promote teamwork and coach credit union colleagues in other units, particularly branch locations, that might become involved in business loan marketing activities.
- Effective organizational and analytical skills, with high degree of computer literacy and fluency in various Microsoft programs, as well as "standard" spreadsheet tools.
- Knowledge of business credit underwriting skills, including business and individual financing statement analysis with special focus on liquidity, leverage, cash flow and risk grading.
- A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact.
- Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is usually of a personal or sensitive nature.
- Work may involve motivating, influencing or training others.
- Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS:
- Manage, monitor, and maintain production standards and turnaround times within established time frames. Ensure team understands metrics and how to be successful within their roles.
- Propose and execute innovative ideas to enhance the commercial deposit area of Y12 FCU. Challenge the status quo and bring new and fresh ideas to the credit union.
- Must be able to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in an effective and efficient manner.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills are required.
- To ensure all loan transactions are timely, consistent, and in compliance with policies/procedures.
- Collaborate with all internal departments to improve processes, enhance communication, and utilize partnerships across the credit union. Build external and community partnerships.
- Grow the commercial deposit and treasury services portfolio and expand product offerings.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and sit. This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move items over 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
