Key Responsibilities\n\nDirector, Corporate Strategic Development\n\nLocation: Santa Clara, CA \nReports to: Head of Corporate Strategic Development, Corporate Strategy \u0026 Marketing\n\nRole Overview\n\nThe Director, Corporate Strategic Development will play a critical role in evaluating, structuring, and advancing strategic initiatives, investments, investor communications and partnerships. This position combines rigorous financial analysis, cross\u2011functional diligence, and senior\u2011level communication to support high\u2011impact corporate decisions.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Build and maintain integrated deal execution models, including sensitivity analyses and clearly articulated investment rationales to support project review and decision\u2011making.\n * Prepare senior decision\u2011maker\u2013level materials that clearly communicate project\u2011level opportunities, risks, assumptions, and value drivers.\n * Partner with company\u2011wide cross\u2011functional teams (finance, legal, operations, technology, strategy) to incorporate comprehensive diligence into project value\u2011creation outcomes.\n * Provide analytical and research support to the Chief Economist, including data preparation and aggregation, macroeconomic and industry analysis, and development of presentation materials.\n\n\n\nQualifications\n\n * Deep expertise in financial modeling and accounting.\n * Prior experience in sell\u2011side or buy\u2011side equity research or investment banking / private equity strongly preferred.\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in Engineering and/or Finance/Economics preferred.\n * Strong analytical rigor, business judgment, and ability to synthesize \u0026 communicate complex information for executive audiences.\n\n\n\nPosition requires understanding of Applied Materials global Standards of Business Conduct and compliance with these standards at all times.
