Director, Los Angeles

THE POSITION:

The Director will work on a wide array of investigative matters, e.g., due diligence, complex litigation support, anti-corruption investigations, activism and asset tracing investigations. They will be highly proficient in a broad array of investigative and research methods and apply expertise in fact gathering techniques. They will be highly skilled in utilizing appropriate resources (e.g., proprietary research databases and in-depth Internet research skills) and technology to support investigations. 

WHAT THE JOB ENTAILS:

• Conduct investigative research, fact gathering and human intelligence source work utilizing a wide array of resources.


• Prepare high quality investigative reports and report findings to clients in both written and verbal form and develop recommendations that advance investigations.


• Assist in the preparation of business proposals to develop and produce investigative case work.


• Ability to manage complex data sets and findings against tight deadlines.

YOUR BACKGROUND

You must have:

• 5+ years of a well-established track record of progressively responsible team or work group management experience in the investigations industry.


• A collaborative approach and ability to build consensus, motivate others and affect change.


• A persona that imparts credibility, trust, and integrity.


• Excellent Communication skills (written and verbal).


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to offer creative solutions.


• Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.


• Flexibility to change priorities and scope of work.


• Extensive research and investigation experience including using a variety of research databases and investigative analysis platforms.


• Fluency in English, a second language fluency preferable, with a strong preference for Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and/or French.


• A college degree; advanced degree preferable.
