Job Description - Director / Manager Operations - USA (m/w/d)
(Further) development of turnaround and optimization strategies based on Lean Management principles along the entire value chain, e.g., in areas such as supply chain networks, plant structure planning, and global footprint
Pragmatic and swift implementation while ensuring that the chosen concepts and approaches meet industry best practices and sustainably contribute to cost reduction, productivity, and quality improvement
Leading leaders by conducting on-site process and value stream analyses with specialists and managers, including exemplary Quick Kaizen implementation workshops
Establishment of a leadership culture within portfolio companies through targeted use of coaching methods within the framework of daily shopfloor management
Implementation of measures to better integrate production processes and optimize communication structures in the spirit of continuous improvement, while enhancing the organization’s structured problem-solving capabilities
Successfully completed studies in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, technical business administration, or a related field
Around 5–10 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in a consulting firm and/or a leading industrial company, with a focus on developing and implementing OpEx projects
In-depth knowledge of Lean Management methods and experience with Six Sigma, process cost accounting, process performance management, and target costing
Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong implementation drive and hands-on attitude
Strong analytical skills paired with a pragmatic, independent working style and the ability to prioritize effectively
Leadership qualities and a high degree of initiative
Embraces a culture of openness and enjoys working in high-performance teams
Affinity for IT and Industry 4.0
Excellent communication skills in both German and English
Willingness to travel: Four days per week at the respective portfolio company
