Job Description - Director Market Access Strategy - Rare Neurology

The Director of US Access Strategy and Marketing leads US channel assessment and access strategy development, in support of the commercialization efforts of our novel siRNA C5 inhibitor being developed for Myasthenia Gravis in the US. Focus will be on leading access initiatives in the US as well as above-brand Market Access Marketing, providing positive leadership and influence with cross-functional partners to ensure market access insights are built into brand strategies and execution. Responsibilities will also include providing strategic support and cross-functional direction to extended market access teams and external partners. This individual will report to the Sr. Director of Global Genetics & Rare Disease Value & Access Strategy, is expected to demonstrate independent critical thinking, and is expected to work with minimal supervision.

In this position a typical day may include the following:

  • Lead overall market access strategy for Rare Disease launch readiness and indication expansions. Develop strategies and tactics across channels to optimize broad access
  • Serve as the market access point person for brand leads. Attend all pertinent meetings, take ownership of projects/initiatives
  • Lead the market access launch readiness workstream to support the brand strategy, including payer landscape insights, access/channel/contracting strategy recommendations, value messaging development, and field team tactical material developments
  • Lead annual brand planning including market access strategy recommendations, initiative planning, and budgeting
  • Lead and develop payer value and communication platforms, in coordination with HEOR, marketing, medical teams, etc.
  • Lead the tactical material development for all field teams (as appropriate) to support the brand strategy

  • You can comprehend complex brand strategies and help identify market access opportunities to employ them
  • You are capable to drive tactical plans while managing multiple projects simultaneously and excellent ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • You can engage with teams and workindependently, multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced environment

To be considered for this role, you have 12+ years of industry or relevant professional experience (i.e. Physician practice, pharma consulting, patient support) and 7+ years of Market Access experience. We are also looking for Rare Disease, Neurology and prefer gMG experience. We also prefer Product launch experience in a market access role. Lastly, you will need to be onsite 4 days a week in Sleepy Hollow.
