Our Team, Your Impact

The Director, Marketing – Schizophrenia Consumer Marketing is responsible for leading the strategy, development, execution, and optimization of patient and caregiver marketing across the Schizophrenia portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Director, Marketing – Schizophrenia Portfolio, this individual will serve as the patient marketing lead and partner closely with brand leads and Patient Services to deliver effective, compliant consumer promotions and a coordinated, patient-centered experience. The role translates patient and caregiver insights into integrated branded and unbranded communications, education, engagement, and support initiatives across the treatment journey. This leader will also identify opportunities to improve consistency, efficiency, and performance across the Franchise while ensuring consumer programs are differentiated, measurable, and aligned with portfolio priorities.

•    Lead a team of marketers to develop and implement a patient and caregiver marketing strategy across the Schizophrenia portfolio, including patient promotion, education, engagement, and consumer portfolio and brand planning.
•    Collaborate with brand leads to translate brand strategy, positioning, and priorities into aligned branded and unbranded consumer plans, messages, and multichannel promotions.
•    Partner closely with Patient Services to design and deliver an integrated consumer experience spanning awareness, treatment consideration, onboarding, access, affordability, initiation, adherence, and ongoing support.
•    Develop patient and caregiver journeys, personas, segmentation, and insight frameworks that identify unmet needs, barriers, moments that matter, and opportunities to improve engagement and treatment experience.
•    Lead the development and execution of effective, compliant consumer promotions across digital, social, CRM, media, print, field, and patient-support channels, ensuring a consistent and connected experience.
•    Integrate patient and caregiver insights into brand planning and execution by partnering with Market Research, Analytics, Advocacy, Market Access, Legal, Regulatory, Compliance, Sales, and external agencies.
•    Establish consumer marketing and experience KPIs, monitor campaign and program performance, and use data and insights to optimize engagement, conversion, onboarding, persistence, satisfaction, and return on investment.
•    Lead agency and vendor partners, including scope, budget, timelines, quality, and performance, while ensuring resources are allocated against the highest strategic priorities.
•    Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing patient marketing team and influence cross-functional partners outside the direct reporting line to deliver shared brand and patient-experience objectives.
•    Identify and scale opportunities to improve consistency, efficiency, innovation, and best-practice sharing across the Schizophrenia Franchise.

Your Skills and Experience

Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered. 


Education/Certification/Experience:
•    ≥ 10 Years of pharmaceutical experience or relevant brand management experience
•    ≥ 5 Years of marketing experience or equivalent (based on performance)
•    Previous experience leading patient or consumer marketing strategy and multichannel promotion in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry is preferred, including patient journey development, branded and unbranded communications, market research and analytics, agency management, and collaboration with Patient Services, patient hubs, specialty pharmacies, affordability programs, or access services. Experience in schizophrenia or another complex specialty market and product launch experience are also preferred.
•    Previous experience with developing HCP Medical Education resources is preferred.


Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
•    Demonstrated ability to develop patient-centered strategies and translate insights into effective consumer promotions and support experiences.
•    Proven ability to collaborate with brand leads, Patient Services, and other internal and external partners to deliver shared objectives.
•    Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical promotional practices, review processes, and applicable legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
•    Analytical and project management skills, including the ability to establish KPIs, interpret performance data, manage budgets, and optimize multiple programs and assets.
•    Team leadership and people management skills, with the ability to build strong partnerships and identify the right mix of internal and external talent.
•    Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills across digital and in-person settings.
•    Ability to communicate brand vision and patient-experience strategy clearly to different stakeholder groups and lead others outside the direct span of control.


TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS


Approximately 30% domestic travel throughout the US.

•    Sitting for extended periods of time at workstation or mobile equipment.


Visual Acuity:
•    Perform activities such as computer work, preparing and analyzing data, and extensive reading.


WORKING ENVIRONMENT


•    May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed on site visits (i.e. safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc

Salary Range

The annual starting salary for this position is between $181,840 – $227,300 annually. Factors which may affect starting salary within this range and level of role may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
