Director, Merchandising Rugs

RH is seeking a Director, Merchandising to lead the Rugs department and develop a compelling assortment that advances our strategic, financial and brand equity objectives. This leader will shape product strategy, drive financial performance and ensure an outstanding customer experience across all channels.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

    •    Set challenging and productive goals for the entire cross-functional team and keep them accountable
    •    Strategize long and short-term margin growth for Rugs department 
    •    Develop and ensure execution of brand strategies
    •    Strategically interpret and align consumer insight to all aspects of business
    •    Drive and execute product assortment strategies to deliver sales and margin forecasts
    •    Present product assortment category to Senior Leadership
    •    Drive calendar to meet critical dates and hold team accountable
    •    Lead weekly and monthly financial review meetings, identifying corrective action necessary to maximize sales and margin
    •    Lead the financial forecast of the business, partnering with Planning Leaders
    •    Initiate product development to capitalize on trends and consumer opportunities
    •    Drive product and pricing execution and timely receipts with vendors

OUR REQUIREMENTS

    •    9+ years experience leading a successful merchandising team
    •    Highly attuned to merchandising trends in the marketplace 
    •    Understand nuances in consumer behavior and competitive pressures
    •    Track record of engaging and inspire a wide variety of partners, stakeholders, and team members
    •    Strong innovation, communication and collaboration skills to present merchandising direction in a compelling manner
    •    Strong planning and organizational skills
