Director, Network and Cloud Security

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Global Network and Cloud Security to lead our company’s efforts in securing our network infrastructure and cloud environments worldwide. This role will be pivotal in developing and implementing strategies to protect our digital assets, maintain compliance with industry standards, and ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:

Develop and execute a comprehensive global security strategy for network and cloud environments aligned with business objectives and risk management priorities.
Team Management:

Lead and mentor a team of security professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Network Security:

Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of network security architecture, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network access control mechanisms.
Cloud Security:

Drive initiatives to enhance cloud security posture across platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, leveraging best practices in identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and secure deployment models.
Incident Response and Threat Management:

Develop and maintain incident response plans, conduct regular vulnerability assessments, and lead proactive threat hunting activities to mitigate risks.
Compliance and Governance:

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST) through robust governance frameworks and audits.
Vendor Management:

Manage relationships with security vendors and service providers, ensuring effective delivery of security solutions and services.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
10+ years of progressive experience in information security, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on network and cloud security.
Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, switching, and TCP/IP stack.
Proven experience in designing and implementing secure cloud architectures across multiple platforms.
Expert knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and compliance requirements.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CCSP are highly desirable.
