Overview\n\nWe are seeking a strategic, forward-thinking leader to join our team in a newly created Product Planning role. This individual will play a critical role in shaping the long-term commercial vision of our pipeline assets\u2014integrating deep market insight, competitive intelligence, clinical understanding, and patient-centric thinking to inform development strategy and maximize global impact. The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of science and strategy, brings a strong track record of cross-functional leadership, and is energized by the opportunity to help build innovative medicines from early development through launch readiness.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Formulate early commercial strategy and approach for select pipeline programs; Develop target product profiles, serve as commercial voice for the asset in key governance forums \n * Provide commercial input and strategic guidance to program teams to inform key business decisions on early-stage clinical programs. \n * Collaborate cross-functionally to conduct rigorous market assessments on key disease areas to inform preclinical strategic planning.\n * Understand and communicate requirements for reimbursement and differentiation to ensure successful global commercialization of pipeline assets. \n * Identify gaps in internal understanding of target diseases and create detailed plans to address gaps through KOL engagement and primary market research.\n * Inform the development of forecast assumptions for financial models.\n\n\n\nQualifications\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Life Sciences or equivalent required, MBA preferred\n * Minimum 8 years of experience inclusive of market analytics, new product planning and global brand marketing\n * Experience in at least one of ALNY\u2019s disease areas of focus (Metabolic/CV, Hematology, Rare Diseases) preferred, CNS experience required. \n * Experience working cross-functionally, including collaboration with and influencing of program development team.\n * Experience with external alliances preferred \n * Solid understanding of pharmaceutical development path and ability to identify operational choices that could impact commercialization.\n * Ability to synthesize findings and clearly articulate implications from multiple sources of information, including primary and secondary market research and data, and formulate strong, supportable recommendations.\n * Strong analytical skills, including the ability to forecast.\n * Aptitude for understanding scientific concepts related to research and development.\n * Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills\n\n\n\n#LI-ST1\n\nU.S. Pay Range\n\n$208,300.00 - $281,800.00\n\nThe pay range reflects the full-time base salary range we expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Base pay will be determined based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education.
