Job Description - Director, NPI Strategic Sourcing Management

Key Responsibilities\n\n * Designs and delivers resilient supply chain strategies for its new products and transitions to HVM\n * Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely delivery, budget adherence, and quality control throughout the NPI project lifecycle\n * Collaborates and negotiates with key suppliers to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply of materials and components\n * Anticipates single points of failure and develops sustainable mitigation strategies\n * Delivers supply chain solutions to minimize total landed cost and improve material availability\n * Drives alignment between engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, finance \u0026 quality on key insource/outsource decisions\n * Delivers cost performance that meets gross margin targets\n * Possesses extensive knowledge of various fabrication commodities and processes\n * Drive R\u0026D initiatives to support engineering in exploration of emerging technologies and materials for potential integration into semiconductor equipment\n * Cultivates an environment of technology enablement through early collaboration and engagement with key suppliers\n * Applies broad industry and commercial awareness to drive financial and operational performance\n * Demonstrates excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams\n * Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services\n * Communicates efficiently at the senior executive levels; negotiates and influences the opinions of others\n\n\n\nFunctional Knowledge\n\n * Demonstrates broad and comprehensive understanding of different systems, theories and practices\n\n\n\nBusiness Expertise\n\n * Applies broad industry and commercial awareness to drive financial and operational performance across business unit, department or sub-functions\n\n\n\nLeadership\n\n * Leads through subordinate managers of managers; executes segment/functional business plans and contributes to the development of segment/functional strategy\n\n\n\nProblem Solving\n\n * Directs the resolution of highly complex or unusual business problems applying advanced analytical thought and judgment \n\n\n\nImpact\n\n * Guided by segment/functional strategy, impacts results of a department, business unit or sub-function or facilitates the work done by other segments/functions by providing support to impact the business\n\n\n\nInterpersonal Skills\n\n * Negotiates and influences the opinions of others at the senior executive level and in external organizations; exercises sensitivity to the audience \n\n\n\nPosition requires understanding of Applied Materials global Standards of Business Conduct and compliance with these standards at all times. This includes demonstrating the highest level of ethical conduct reflecting Applied Materials\u0027 core values.\n\n * Education: MS in Industrial Engineering or MBA preferred\n * Experience: Minimum of 15 years, with at least 5 years in a management role in a high-tech industry.
