Director of Obstetrics – Full Time (Days/Nights)

What to expect as a Director of Obstetrics:

• Collaborates with the clinics, providers, and support staff to provide a quality continuum of care.
• Provides leadership and direction in accordance with organizational and departmental goals and objectives.
• Anticipates and meets patient and other customer’s needs. 
• Provides input and standards in formulating patient care policy and procedures for Patient Care Services and the organization; works with the Medical Staff to coordinate medical and nursing management of patient care.
• Monitors patient revenues, expenses and operating expenses (salaries and capital expense items), and provides appropriate reports to Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). Communicates regularly with CNO regarding fiscal health of department.
• Review staffing patterns, check attendance, and revise the daily staff schedule as necessary.
• Responsible for safety and comfort of patients and the health and safety of employees assigned to the patient care units.
• Maintains regulatory requirements.
• Investigate and report concerns timely to the CNO.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• 3-5 years of experience
• 0-1 years of experience in Supervision
• BLS required
