This role will be part of the senior Finance team and will supervise the General Accounting team. Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies, taxation, internal and external audits. Manage monthly book close and preparation of reports in support of the financial statements. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Finance of the company. The major areas included are:
Responsibilities:
· Ensuring full accuracy of the financial ledgers on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, with full ownership and the lead on the monthly book close process
· Supervise Medicaid and Govt pricing.
· Month end closure activities, MIS data, GTN monitoring, approving the rebate & SSA claims, Calculation of FTS accrual & actual processing, OSD tracking & dispute tracking and recovery from customers.
· Being the primary lead for all internal and external audit requirements, to ensure that all schedules and documentation and supporting are prepared and shared with the auditors on a timely basis
· Being the primary lead to understand the systems requirements and also to suggest ongoing process or system changes to improve productivity or to enhance process controls.
· Review the terms and conditions of agreements with customers and suppliers. Impact analysis of any changes in terms.
· Monitoring the expenses against budgets and the contractual terms.
· Take lead in preparation of annual budgets, quarterly estimates, ongoing review and tracking of the actual results (revenue, expenses) versus the corresponding budgets
· Create a manual for company’s knowledge on system and functions, track key issues or disputes, guide the team to follow the best practices, increase team’s efficiency and timely deliveries
· Evaluating the processes and making improvements over the existing process to make them more robust and effective for the organization.
· Supervising and helping the team to bring efficiency in their day to day working.
Desired Skills:
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP
· Very strong accounting knowledge and skills.
· Proven track record in financial accounting and controllership functions for at least 2-3 years. Previous experience in pharma industry (especially generic pharma) will be a major plus.
· Good leadership skills
Requirements:
· Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Business or a related field is required
· CPA will be a major plus
· 6-8 years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a comparative role
