The Advancement Director leads enrollment, development, and community engagement initiatives. Responsibilities include creating recruitment and retention strategies, managing marketing campaigns, and collaborating with Admissions to meet enrollment goals. They oversee donor relations, including annual giving, capital campaigns, and stewardship, while coordinating special events and building relationships with stakeholders like parents, alumni, and sponsors. The director ensures collaboration for consistent branding, manages publications and social media, recruits and trains volunteers, supervises advancement staff, oversees budgets, maintains donor databases, and collaborates with the Head of School on strategic planning efforts.

1. Engage and Inform

  • Serve as the primary ambassador for Faith Christian Academy, sharing the benefits of an FCA education with prospective families.
  • Conduct individual, small-group, and large-group presentations to highlight FCA’s mission and programs.

2. Enrollment & Retention Leadership

  • Serve as the primary ambassador for Faith Christian Academy, sharing the benefits of an FCA education with prospective families.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive recruitment and retention strategies to achieve enrollment goals.
  • Collaborate with the Admissions team to enhance prospective student engagement and streamline the enrollment process.
  • Analyze enrollment trends and recommend strategies for growth and sustainability.
  • Support retention initiatives in collaboration with the Admissions Director and division principals to sustain current enrollment.

3. Marketing & Communications

  • Oversee the development and execution of marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with institutional branding and mission.
  • Manage promotional materials, publications, and digital media production, including the school website and social media platforms.
  • Ensure clear, consistent, and effective communication with key stakeholders, including prospective families, donors, and the broader community.

4. Strategic Planning & Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Head of School to develop and implement strategic advancement initiatives.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure cohesive messaging and alignment with institutional priorities.
  • Oversee the advancement budget, ensuring responsible allocation of resources for fundraising, marketing, and community engagement efforts.

5. Fundraising & Donor Relations

  • Plan and execute annual giving campaigns, capital campaigns, and major fundraising initiatives.
  • Cultivate relationships with donors, alums, corporate sponsors, and community partners to enhance financial support.
  • Oversee donor stewardship programs, ensuring recognition and engagement of benefactors.
  • Maintain and manage donor databases to track contributions and engagement.

6. Leadership and Representation

  • Supervise advancement staff, providing leadership, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure the effective use of donor management systems, marketing analytics, and enrollment data to inform decision-making.
  • Maintain and report key performance indicators related to enrollment, fundraising, and engagement initiatives.
  • To stay informed of best practices, engage in ongoing professional development, including attending conferences and visiting other schools.

7. Community Networking

  • Lead the planning and execution of special events to strengthen relationships with parents, alumni, and community stakeholders.
  • Represent the school at community events, fostering partnerships that support institutional growth.
  • Recruit and train volunteers to support advancement initiatives and school events.
  • Build and sustain positive relationships with local schools, preschools, consultants, and educational organizations to create strong referral networks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; advanced degree preferred
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Experience in development, fundraising, or enrollment management required
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of independent Christian schools and the surrounding community is preferred
