Job Description - Director of Aftermarket Operations


DIRECTOR OF AFTERMARKET SALES – INDUSTRIAL EQUIPMENT


This role is responsible for growing the aftermarket business tied to a large installed base of injection molding and plastics manufacturing equipment. The focus is expanding parts, rebuild and retrofit programs, and field service revenue across North America.


This role requires prior experience selling aftermarket programs tied to industrial or capital equipment. The right person will understand how installed equipment creates long-term revenue opportunities through parts, service, rebuilds, and lifecycle support.


You will work closely with the equipment sales organization, service teams, and executive leadership to identify where the opportunity is and build the programs needed to capture it.


This role is on-site with 20% travel based in the Greater Cincinnati and works directly with senior leadership responsible for the North American equipment business.


 


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Drive growth across parts, service, rebuild, and retrofit programs tied to injection molding equipment.

  • Increase service penetration within the installed customer base.

  • Partner with equipment sales teams to attach aftermarket offerings to new machine sales.

  • Strengthen relationships with key customers that already operate the company’s equipment.

  • Expand rebuild and retrofit programs that extend machine life and create additional revenue.

  • Improve processes around forecasting, pricing, and quoting to support aftermarket growth.

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives across sales, service, engineering, and operations.

  • Develop new aftermarket offerings that increase lifecycle value for customers.


 


REQUIREMENTS



  • 10+ years of experience in industrial equipment, capital equipment, or manufacturing service environments.

  • Direct experience selling aftermarket products or services tied to installed equipment.

  • Strong understanding of parts, service, rebuilds, retrofits, or lifecycle support business models.

  • Background in injection molding or plastics manufacturing equipment is preferred.

  • Ability to travel approximately 20%.


 


ROLE DETAILS



  • Location: Cincinnati area (onsite)

  • Compensation: Target base between $160K and $200K with flexibility for exceptional candidates.

  • Bonus: Approximately 20% annual incentive based on company and personal performance.

  • Long-term incentive participation through a phantom equity program.
