Location: Cincinnati, Ohio – On-site. This highly visible leadership role is designed for close collaboration with executive leadership, development, property management, accounting, investors, and lenders.
Note: Candidates must have 6+ years of real estate asset management experience and direct mixed-use portfolio experience spanning multifamily plus retail/commercial assets. Strong investor-facing experience and financial fluency across NOI analysis, IRR, equity multiples, GP/LP waterfalls, and refinancing are also essential.

Job Description
- Build and lead a dedicated asset management function, establishing processes, reporting cadence, tools, and organizational structure.
- Own operating portfolio performance from stabilization through exit and drive results against underwriting and business plans.
- Lead monthly portfolio NOI reviews covering budget and underwriting variances, occupancy, expense ratios, and cash positions.
- Track lease-up performance across major assets and provide regular performance reporting to executive leadership.
- Own the transition from development underwriting to operations, identifying and addressing material variances between projections and actual results.
- Lead annual property budget reviews and identify opportunities to optimize real estate taxes, insurance, expense recoveries, and operating performance.
- Own investor reporting, including quarterly reporting packages, monthly highlights, capital raise materials, and proactive performance communications.
- Serve as a trusted day-to-day contact for high-net-worth and family-office investors.
- Build and maintain the portfolio loan maturity calendar and lead refinancing processes from strategy through execution.
- Conduct annual portfolio reviews and recommend dispositions, repositioning opportunities, and capital strategies to executive leadership.
- Prioritize reinvestment and repositioning capital expenditures across assets involving investor capital.
- Own the investor management platform, including reporting workflows, distribution notices, capital accounts, and the investor-facing experience.
- Maintain five-year property cash flow models, portfolio schedules, reporting templates, and other asset management tools.
- Complete a comprehensive portfolio review within the first 90 days and establish an effective monthly portfolio review cadence.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of real estate asset management experience.
- Mixed-use asset management experience required, including multifamily plus retail/commercial.
- Strong experience evaluating operating asset and portfolio performance against underwriting.
- Investor-facing experience working with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, or comparable private capital sources.
- Deep financial fluency across NOI variance analysis, IRR, equity multiples, GP/LP waterfall structures, cash flow modeling, and refinancing.
- Experience developing and executing portfolio strategies involving refinancing, dispositions, repositioning, and capital expenditures.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate credibly with investors, lenders, principals, and senior leadership.
- Experience with a vertically integrated developer/owner-operator or private real estate sponsor preferred.
- Experience implementing or operating Juniper Square or a comparable investor management platform strongly preferred.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
