Black Hills State University is accepting applications for the Director of Athletic Communication for the Athletics Department. BHSU is a member of NCAA
DII and the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
DUTIES :
Oversee all aspects of the athletics communications office.
Serve as the primary contact for assigned sports.
Provide written content (press releases, game recaps, features) and edit, layout, and design media guides or record books for assigned primary sports.
Write, edit, and design game programs for assigned primary sports, publish media game notes, manage social media accounts (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram), input computer statistical data at those events, and maintain the content of the official athletic department website.
Must be available to work evenings and weekends; some travel is required.
Helping to secure staff for home events in their primary sports, supervising temporary, part-time, and student.
Report statistical data, press releases, and weekly, monthly, and yearly nominations to the Rocky Mountain Athletics Conference andNCAA.
REQUIREMENTS :
• Bachelor’s Degree Required, Master’s Preferred
• Related experience; 1-3 years
COMMENTS :
This is a full-time, 12-month appointment. Anticipated starting date is July 22, 2024.
