Purpose
The Director of Behavioral Health provides strategic and functional leadership for all behavioral health services at Neighborcare Health, including those within primary care, school-based and homeless/housing sites. The Director reports to the Chief Health Officer, is part of their leadership team, and partners with senior leaders and operational leadership to set priorities, deploy resources and assure strategic goals are achieved. The Director is key to driving services, programs and partnerships toward reaching the intended outcomes and results in achieving Neighborcare’s Mission and its True North aspirations---100% access, zero health disparities.

Key responsibilities:
In partnership with operations, provides leadership, strategic direction and management necessary to provide clinical, operational and administrative oversight of Neighborcare Health’s behavioral health program and services. Responsible for the delivery of quality behavioral health services through supervision, mentorship, coaching of Behavioral Health Supervisors and Managers so they can support their providers to achieve their greatest success. Develop infrastructure needed to fortify the foundation of and build/grow behavioral health services at Neighborcare. Work as a behavioral health clinician at .2FTE with the purpose of developing deep understanding of the varied Behavioral Health Services at Neighborcare Health. With the support of external expertise, Neighborcare Senior leadership, Operational leadership and behavioral health supervisors, collaboratively co-design a strategy to improve Neighborcare’s access for patients, patient outcomes, staff satisfaction, and patient satisfaction with services. Facilitate trust and teamwork, fostering superior communication skills and change management skills. Set the tone for positive patient service, patient and staff experience, and Neighborcare’s community reputation by meeting and leading to Neighborcare Health’s Service Commitments (a warm welcome; respect; caring; working together and trusting relationship). Work with the quality team to support quality improvement initiatives, including quality metrics that promote integration of behavioral health. Engage in community efforts that promote partnerships with clinics, managed care, and population health initiatives. Required for this job:
Knowledge of current industry trends and evidence based care in Medicaid and Medicare populations Awareness, knowledge and respect for the health and socioeconomic needs of low-income, underserved populations Awareness and knowledge and respect for the importance of equity, diversity and inclusion Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills Knowledge of the structural needs of an effectively functioning behavioral health program including ability to fiscally manage a program Ability to interact respectfully with all levels of personnel and people of varied backgrounds Ability to balance collaborative leadership and sound decision-making Ability to work effectively as part of a team Ability to inspire and build trust and confidence in team members Ability to define and hold an ethical standard Demonstrated skills in planning, decision-making, setting goals and process improvement efforts Ability to navigate complexity and see commonalities amongst disparate lines of service Ability to use of electronic medical records Ability to meet and comply with HIPAA/Confidentiality policies and procedures Proficient with MS Office Suite and use of electronic means of communicating and connecting Required
Qualifications:
Masters or other post-graduate degree required Minimum 3 years of clinical practice Minimum 1 year of program and/or personnel management experience Clinical supervision experience Active, unencumbered Washington License for practice Preferred Qualifications:

Compensation
The wage range for this position is minimum salary of $122,275.00up to $178,611.92 maximum salary
Compensation will be determined based on years of relevant experience.
