We are seeking a Director of Billing Operations to join our team in Scottsdale, AZ. This in-office position offers the flexibility to work from home up to 2 days a week, after the completion of a training period.

Responsibilities: As a Director of Premium Accounting, you will be responsible for:

* Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with Finance & Premium Department Leaders to maintain service and quality standards across the Premium workflow.
* Operational Excellence: Create and maintain operational reports to manage departmental key performance metrics.
* Team Leadership: Manage a high-performing Premium processing team through mentoring, performance evaluation, and promoting a continuous learning environment.
* Process Efficiency: Work with functional department leaders to ensure process efficiencies, effectiveness, consistency, and issue resolution.
* Departmental Oversight: Oversee the overall operations and performance of the Premium Accounting Department, including staffing decisions, annual evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure quality standards are met, develop goals, and training documents to address opportunities for improvement.
* Technical Expertise: Understand all aspects of sold forms and guide the team to ensure accurate Premium processing.
* Compliance Management: Maintain adherence to carrier and broker Premium processing requirements.
* Collaboration: Collaborate with Account Management to resolve pending Premium issues in a timely manner.
* Innovation: Operationalize new products and services by leveraging the capabilities of the accounting system.
* Relationship Building: Develop positive and collaborative relationships with internal departments and individuals for efficient service delivery.
* Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the Premium Accounting subject matter expert, representing the Finance Operations Department in internal and external engagements.
* Team Development: Be accountable for the selection, training, and professional development of the Premium Accounting Department staff.

Qualifications: To excel in this role, you'll need:

* Analytical Skills: Strong mathematical, billing, reconciliation, and analytical skills.
* Technical Proficiency: Strong technical aptitude in Excel.
* Management Experience: 7-10 years of management experience strongly preferred.
* Industry Experience: Insurance, healthcare, or premium accounting experience is a plus.
* Time Management: Proven ability to effectively manage time, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.
* Multitasking: Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Urgency and Attention to Detail: Exhibit a sense of urgency, attention to detail, and a desire to learn.
