Overview

Supporting the Director of Finance and all operating departments, the Director of Business Analytics and Reporting will be responsible for oversight of analytical functions and business reporting along with specific accounting functions. Qualified applicants shall have experience in data analysis, month end closing, balance sheet reconciliations, compliance to USALI Accounting Standards and demonstrate elite leadership skills throughout all levels of the organization.

The Director of Business Analytics & Reporting shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. They will be responsible for exemplifying the La Cantera Resort and Spa Culture as well as promoting La Cantera Resort and Spa as both the Destination and Employer of Choice!

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Maintain and secure assets, minimizing outstanding receivables and investments inventories.
Assist in preparation of accurate and timely monthly financial statements.
Oversee some balance sheet reconciliations following PHG standards and policies.
Implement and support property operating policies and procedures.
Operate in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and government regulations.
Assist the Director of Finance in preparation of Budgets and Forecasts in conjunction with operating departments.
Assist with coordination all financial audits by outside concerns.
Coordinate internal financial training and development of department heads, managers & supervisors.
Prepare periodic presentations at owner's meetings.
Leverage cost savings opportunities via Avendra relationship and proprietary contracts.
Application of BCG Growth-Share Matric to assist in menu engineering.
Operational Analysis and evaluations.
Track and host weekly Labor Review meeting with all hotel departments.
Oversee and assist with inventory control and audit.
Lead Ad Hoc projects outside of the F&B Division to target optimal performance.
Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent.
College degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
Four years' experience as a hotel/resort controller.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Problem solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work under pressure.
Exceptional organizational skills.
Ability to meet deadlines.
