Job Description
Key Responsibilities for Director of Business Development (Construction):
Develop and execute comprehensive business development building and construction efforts to drive growth and expand market presence in the industrial, retail, restaurant, and multifamily construction sectors.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including potential clients, projects, and partnerships.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, industry partners, and stakeholders to enhance the company's reputation and market position.
Lead and manage the business development team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
Collaborate with the in-house Design/Build department to create innovative and competitive project proposals.
Oversee the preparation of proposals, presentations, and other marketing materials to effectively communicate the company's capabilities and value proposition.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote the brand and generate leads.
Track and report on business development activities, goals, and outcomes to the executive team.
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the business development team.

The Successful Applicant
Director of Business Development (Construction) Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the construction industry.
Proven track record of successfully driving business growth and achieving sales targets.
Strong network of contacts within the industrial, retail, restaurant, and multifamily construction sectors.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement effective business development plans.
Leadership experience with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Knowledge of local market trends, regulations, and opportunities in Arizona.
