Director of Business Development - CPG - Consumer Packaged Goods!
This go-getter will lead our entire segment of consumer packaged goods with the sole function of placing our amazing products into the hands of our consumers. This person will execute the strategic direction of all Consumer Packaged Goods for Better Buzz Coffee. This person will be responsible for all the key components of the Consumer Packaged Goods business including areas such as sales, supply chain and cash cycle. This person will supervise our process and our team.
This position is a hybrid position and is based in San Diego, CA. Our desired candidate has established relationships with buyers and distributors.
Pay range $120,000.00-$135,000.00
Better Buzz Coffee
is a San Diego based USDA Organic Certified Coffee Roaster with many current locations in southern California, Arizona and soon Nevada. We source and roast all our coffees and we are dedicated to our purpose of providing the Better Buzz experience by fueling each day with exceptional coffee and food in an inspiring environment.

Responsibilities
The Job:
Own all stages of the sales cycle including targeting, prospecting, presenting and negotiating to generate revenue
Increase market share by developing and maintaining a pipeline of potential new business prospects and develop relationships with buyers and category managers
Manage the team and the processes
Create and maintain an ongoing schedule of category reviews
Identify potential new broker and distribution partners to help accelerate growth
Identify opportunities, utilize forecasting methods and align business unit resources to secure those opportunities
Advocate for our brand to ensure our products receive proper placement
Identify opportunities for growth and stay informed about industry trends, insights, and competitive activities
Responsible for promotion planning, preparing presentations, invoicing general paperwork, and other business needs
Lead the ideation and development of new and innovative products
Identify efficiencies in current product line to potentially streamline the offering, identify product gaps, and make recommendations for package design improvements
Assist warehouse manager with supply chain and logistics when needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred. Work experience may be a substitute for secondary education.
Experience in a high-growth, multi-location business within the food services or hospitality industry a plus.
