Wurzak Hotel Group is seeking an accomplished Director of Catering to lead the Sales & Events efforts at our beautiful Hilton City Avenue. The Hilton City Avenue has recently undergone a full-scale renovation, transforming our meeting spaces, lobby, restaurant, and fitness center to meet the demands of today’s event clients. With 35,000 square feet of flexible meeting space—including two stunning ballrooms over 10,000 sq. ft. each—this is the perfect backdrop for unforgettable events. If you thrive on selling newly refreshed, high-end spaces that today’s clients crave, this is the role for you!

As Director of Catering, you’ll oversee every aspect of the catering department—sales strategy, event execution, menu development, team leadership, and guest service—ensuring excellence at every step.

We’re looking for:
A proven leader with a strong catering background, exceptional organizational and communication skills, and a passion for selling premium event spaces. The ideal candidate thrives on delivering memorable experiences, achieving sales goals, and inspiring teams to excel.

Key Responsibilities:

  Sales & Marketing: Drive catering revenue through strategic plans, client outreach, and relationship building.

  Event Planning: Partner with clients to deliver flawless weddings, meetings, banquets, and special events.
  


• 
  Menu Development: Collaborate with culinary teams to create tailored menus that impress every guest.
  


• 
  Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and inspire a high-performing catering team.
  


• 
  Financial Management: Oversee budgets, forecasts, and vendor negotiations to ensure profitability.
  


• 
  Customer Service: Provide exceptional, personalized service from first inquiry to post-event follow-up.
  


• 
  Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and industry regulations.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or related field preferred.


• Proven senior-level catering or sales experience.


• Hilton brand experience preferred.


• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.


• Proficiency with industry software and tools.
