Director of Children's Ministry

The Director of Children’s Ministries for Faith Life Kids (FLK) is responsible for leading the student ministry through Biblical principles, leadership, and values. The Director will be responsible for overseeing all activity within each department of children’s ministries as well as every event and weekend service. The Director will foster the development and growth of their Dream Team by training and pastoring through all activities. The person for this role will be self-motivated, organized and always display a servant attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead with Vision and Purpose
  
  
  
  • Provide spiritual leadership and strategic direction for Faith Life Kids (FLK), ensuring alignment with Faith Life Church’s mission and vision.
  
  
  • Embrace and promote a culture of excellence, creativity, and biblical teaching across all FLK environments.
  
  
  
  


• Team Development and Oversight
  
  
  
  • Oversee all FLK departments including Motion City (elementary), Uptown (preschool), Registration/Check-In, and all affiliated events and weekend services.
  
  
  • Recruit, train, and pastor Dream Team volunteers to build strong, empowered teams.
  
  
  • Provide direct supervision to any full-time and part-time FLK staff, including the Uptown Preschool Coordinator.
  
  
  • Meet regularly with campus coordinators to ensure consistency and excellence across all campuses.
  
  
  
  


• Curriculum and Program Management
  
  
  
  • Lead the development and implementation of curriculum for Motion City and Uptown.
  
  
  • Manage the branding, visual identity, and overall experience for children’s environments.
  
  
  • Oversee the use of technology and systems to support weekend services and weekly programming.
  
  
  
  


• Event Leadership
  
  
  
  • Plan and execute all aspects of special events like Summer Blast—including creative design, performances, Dream Team coordination, setup, tear-down, and registration.
  
  
  • Provide support for seasonal and special events such as Boys and Girls Camps.
  
  
  
  


• Leadership College Involvement
  
  
  
  • Serve as the leader for the Children’s Ministry Track of Life Leadership College, training and mentoring the next generation of church leaders.
  
  
  
  

 Minimum Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED


• Attention to detail


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills


• 3+ years as a member of Faith Life Church


• 4+ years’ experience leading within the Children’s Ministry


• Completed Kingdom Track and Faith Foundations small group


• 2+ years’ experience teaching and leading kids through Bible lessons
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience representing Faith Life Church in a professional manner that glorifies the Lord and the Church.
