Indiana Farmers Insurance is conducting a national search for an experienced Director of Claims to join our dedicated Claims team. This position can be based out of our home office or remote with travel to the home office in Indianapolis, IN.

The Director of Claims is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving excellence in claims handling, associate development, compliance, and service delivery. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Claims, you will lead initiatives across complex claims operations—ranging from casualty to litigation and multi-line matters—ensuring alignment with organizational goals and maintaining the highest standards of service, quality, and financial stewardship. 

We service policyholders in IN, IL, OH, KY.

Requirements

• College degree required or CE work towards obtaining an advanced designation or degree 
• Ten years claims experience 
• Five years management experience
• Experience with complex casualty, litigation, coverage, and multi-line claims operations (Personal Lines, Farm, Commercial, Auto, GL, Professional, First Party)
• Strong grasp of coverage analysis, environmental and construction defect claims
• Multi-jurisdictional experience, with a deep understanding of Illinois claims and legal environment
• AIC or CPCU designation preferred
