Director of Client Engagement/Outside Sales

Interlink is hiring our next Director of Client Engagement/Outside Sales, a hybrid Sales Account Executive role located in the Midwest Region. Reporting to the VP of Sales, you’ll be a key part of a team that values collaboration in supporting our clients' business and technical needs while providing digital transformation using Microsoft's Cloud suite of offerings. We are looking for someone with a proven track record of selling technical services and increasing revenue, and a passion for building strong client relationships.

In this role, you will actively seek new sales opportunities with a mix of prospecting efforts and warm leads while overseeing a portfolio of clients to grow and develop.  You will champion your clients’ needs and nurture meaningful relationships that enable you to identify their business & technical pain points and requirements, develop proposals, and manage their feedback over the long term.

Responsibilities:

• Effectively prospect, qualify, develop, and close new business opportunities
• Present, promote, and sell all our consulting and licensing (CSP) services using a win/win approach to existing customers
• Create and execute strategic existing customer plan and new business plans to grow revenue and increase market share while achieving sales targets and outcomes
• Stay informed on industry trends to effectively anticipate and correlate back to client needs
• Manage and prioritize client needs versus business needs by building relationships and proactively collaborating with stakeholders
• Maximize client experience and satisfaction by actively listening to uncover root causes or unknown customer concerns; follow up by creating timely action plans and coordinate with service delivery leadership
• Use Microsoft CRM to update and maintain accurate customer data
• Analyze the territory/market's potential, track opportunities, sales, and status reports; use data to create detailed reports reflecting customer needs, problems, interests, and potential for new products and services for the leadership team
• Maintain and develop partnerships with the Microsoft account team

Proven track record of obtaining new business and sales growth

• 5+ years of experience selling and negotiating contracts for technical services
• 5+ years of experience in a client-centric role and a mindset to ask probing questions and strategize the best ways to solve customer needs with our business solutions
• 2+ years of experience working with concepts and trends of Cloud computing, specifically supporting Microsoft sales
• 2+ years using CRM software for accurate client data and reporting
• 3+ years of experience supporting multiple client accounts simultaneously
• 3+ years of experience in Office products – especially Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Azure and/or Dynamics 365
• Exceptional presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal 
• Ability to think critically, strategically, and tactically with solid attention to detail in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
