Job Description


Attain Sports is seeking a strategic, results-driven Director, Corporate Partnerships to lead and oversee all corporate partnership efforts across three professional baseball teams: the Chesapeake Baysox, Frederick Keys, and Aberdeen IronBirds. This role will be responsible for setting partnership strategy, driving revenue growth, and executing cross-property sponsorship initiatives while also personally selling and managing key corporate relationships.


The ideal candidate is a proven revenue generator with strong leadership skills, experience in multi-property sales environments, and the ability to align partners across multiple teams under cohesive, high-value sponsorship platforms.


 


Job Responsibilities



  • Partnership Strategy & Leadership

    • Develop and execute an integrated corporate partnership strategy across all three teams, aligned with Attain Sports’ overall revenue and growth objectives.

    • Establish best practices, sales processes, and pricing frameworks to maximize partnership revenue and consistency across properties.

    • Work closely with team general managers and sales leadership to align goals, inventory, and execution.



  • Revenue Generation & Sales

    • Personally generate significant partnership revenue through the acquisition, renewal, and upsell of key local, regional, and national accounts.

    • Identify and pursue high-value, multi-team partnership opportunities and bundled sponsorship programs.

    • Lead negotiations and close complex, multi-year, cross-property deals.



  • Cross-Property Partnerships

    • Proactively identify brands that align across multiple teams and markets and develop scalable partnership platforms.

    • Package and sell integrated sponsorships that include media, signage, promotions, hospitality, digital, and community initiatives across all three clubs.

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for cross-property partners, ensuring consistent communication, fulfillment, and performance reporting.



  • Team Oversight & Collaboration

    • Oversee and support corporate partnership sales staff across the three teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and accountability.

    • Assist with training, goal-setting, and performance evaluation of partnership sales team members.

    • Foster collaboration between teams to share leads, ideas, success stories, and partner opportunities.



  • Partner Activation & Retention

    • Ensure best-in-class activation, fulfillment, and stewardship of corporate partners across all properties.

    • Work with marketing, operations, and community relations teams to deliver creative, impactful sponsorship activations.

    • Track and analyze partnership performance, renewal rates, and ROI metrics to drive long-term retention.




 


Qualifications and Experience



  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • 7–10+ years of experience in corporate partnerships, sponsorship sales, or sports business, with a proven track record of revenue growth.

  • Experience selling and managing partnerships across multiple properties or markets strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to close high-value, complex sponsorship deals.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Highly organized, strategic thinker with a hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset.

Attain Sports is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Individual base salary for this position is unique to each candidate and will be commensurate with experience, education, and skills, ranging from $75,000 - $85,000. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for commission and an annual discretionary bonus.
