Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Director of a Daycare to join our school. We are Arrow Academy Daycare, formally King's Kids Preschool and Daycare Center. We have been serving children since 2002. We are a NJ State licensed child care center, and an ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) member school.
As the Director of Child Care, you will be responsible for all the day to day operations of our faith based center. You will also support the current staff, manage scheduling and office supplies, bring positive communication to the team, and implement new strategies to grow and expand our center. The ideal candidate must have strong communication skills, a deep understanding of child development and education, and experience managing staff.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that we are always in compliance with county and state regulations, as well as having knowledge of the NJCCIS website, and be familiar with the NJ Office of Licensing manual
- Hire and train staff. Plan monthly meetings. Handle any issues, including scheduling and interpersonal conflicts that may arise
- Review and approve all lesson plans, printed materials, bulletin announcements, and newsletters
- Plan extra-curricular activities, including open house, special events, fund raisers and more
- Schedule tours to prospective families
- Marketing and increasing enrollment
- Maintain accurate records for staff and students
Qualifications
- Past experience as a Director or Assistant Director
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in education, child development or any related field of education
- One year or more of supervisory or managerial experience
- Deep understanding of childcare, child development, and education
- Computer proficient
- Certified in Infant/child CPR and first aid
