Position Title: Director of Emergency Services
Location: Salem, VA
Compensation Package:

• Base Salary Range: $110,552 $176,883
• Midpoint: $143,707
• Annual Bonus: 15% Director-level performance bonus
• Sign-On Bonus: $20,000

Position Overview:
We are actively seeking an accomplished and dynamic healthcare leader for the role of Director of Emergency Services. This high-impact position is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of a multi-site emergency services department within a large, high-volume hospital setting. The Director will play a pivotal role in driving clinical excellence, operational efficiency, and patient satisfaction across all emergency care locations.

Facility & Department Overview:

• 28-bed Emergency Department at the main hospital campus
• Two additional Free-Standing Emergency Departments (FSEDs)
• Designated Level II Trauma Center
• Patient Volumes:
• Main ED: 120140 patients/day
• FSED #1: High 80sLow 100s/day
• FSED #2: 6080 patients/day
• Total of approximately 60 FTEs under departmental leadership
• Current leadership structure includes 4 Emergency Department Managers (1 at each FSED, 2 at the main ED)

Reporting Structure:
This position reports directly to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) of the hospital.

Required Qualifications:

• Must have previous experience as an Emergency Room Director in a hospital or health system of comparable size and scope
• Proven ability to lead in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Strong background in emergency nursing operations, patient flow, staff development, and regulatory compliance
