Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary Range: $115,000 – $145,000 per year (commensurate with experience)

• Annual Bonus: Up to 15% performance-based director bonus

Position Overview:

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Emergency Services to lead a dynamic Emergency Department team in Tallahassee, FL. This role focuses on driving clinical excellence, operational performance, and patient satisfaction in a high-volume acute care setting. The ideal candidate will have a successful history of performance improvement, staff leadership, and emergency care innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide overall leadership for Emergency Department operations to ensure high-quality patient care

• Mentor and support clinical and non-clinical team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability

• Oversee quality and performance improvement initiatives to achieve regulatory compliance and exceptional patient outcomes

• Advance the patient experience strategy through staff engagement and service improvement efforts

• Manage departmental resources efficiently, including staffing, budgeting, and clinical operations

• Collaborate effectively with senior leaders, department managers, and physician partners to meet organizational goals

Qualifications:

• Experience:

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of recent experience as a Director in a large acute care Emergency Department

  • Proven success in driving operational improvements, staff development, and patient satisfaction metrics

• Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required

  • Master’s degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred

• Licensure/Certification:

  • Active RN license or eligibility for licensure in the state of Florida

  • BLS certification required upon hire

  • ACLS and PALS or ENPC certification required

Emergency Department Details:

• Size: 34 beds

• Daily Volume: 130 patients per day

• Team Size: Approximately 45 full-time employees

• Trauma Level: Non-trauma facility
