Compensation: $109,158 - $128,256 annually (based on experience)
Annual Incentive Bonus: 17.5% - 26.25%
Relocation Assistance: Available
- Homeowners: Up to $25,000 ($15,000 lump sum + $10,000 household goods)

Overview
A leading acute care hospital in El Paso is seeking an experienced Director of Emergency Services to oversee operations within a busy Emergency Department.
This leadership role is responsible for driving clinical quality, patient safety, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, physician collaboration, employee engagement, and financial performance. The ideal candidate will bring strong Emergency Department leadership experience and a proven ability to improve patient outcomes, departmental efficiency, and staff performance in an acute care environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for Emergency Services
- Oversee daily Emergency Department operations, staffing, quality initiatives, and patient care delivery
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards
- Lead patient safety, quality improvement, and performance management initiatives
- Monitor patient throughput, flow, and operational efficiency metrics
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and evidence-based practices
- Manage departmental budgets, staffing plans, labor productivity, and resource allocation
- Drive employee engagement, retention, leadership development, and succession planning
- Support service line growth initiatives and organizational strategic goals
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and patient-centered care
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Active RN license
- Minimum 3 years of acute care leadership experience
- Emergency Department Manager or Director experience in an acute care hospital
- Strong knowledge of Emergency Department operations, staffing, and quality management
- Experience managing physician relationships and multidisciplinary teams
Preferred
- Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field
- Five or more years of Emergency Services leadership experience
- Experience with patient throughput, operational improvement, and regulatory compliance initiatives
- Experience leading performance improvement and patient satisfaction programs
