Director of Emergency Services- Nursing

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Director of Emergency Services to lead the Emergency Department in Sanford, North Carolina.
The Director will be responsible for overseeing clinical and procedural operations, ensuring the delivery of efficient patient care, adherence to established policies, and the seamless functioning of the department.
This role encompasses staff management, budget oversight, patient throughput, and the implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
As a critical leader within the organization, the Director will foster professional development, ensure the completion of annual competencies, and promote a culture of excellence and continuous learning.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Organize, direct, and supervise all clinical and procedural functions of the Emergency Department.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain safe staffing levels while managing departmental supplies and equipment.
- Oversee patient throughput to guarantee efficient and timely delivery of care.
- Develop, implement, and manage the departmental budget.
- Drive initiatives focused on quality improvement and performance enhancement.
- Support staff development through ongoing educational and professional growth opportunities. - Ensure the completion of annual competencies for all employees.

**Qualifications:** **Required:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or licensure from a compact state.
- Certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
- A minimum of three years of supervisory experience in an Emergency Department setting (Manager role or above).

**Preferred:** - Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration (MSN, MHA), or a related field.
- Experience within a community hospital Emergency Department.
