Job Title: Director of Engineering (Shipbuilding Industry)

Position Overview:

As the Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for overseeing all engineering activities within our shipbuilding operations. You will lead a team of talented engineers, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. In this role, you will play a key strategic and technical leadership role, driving innovation, optimizing processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership and direction to the engineering team, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
Oversee the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge maritime technologies and solutions.
Manage the entire engineering lifecycle, from concept and design through to production and delivery.
Collaborate closely with other departments, including operations, procurement, and project management, to ensure seamless project execution.
Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging new technologies and best practices to enhance efficiency and competitiveness.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
Mentor and develop engineering talent, fostering a culture of learning, growth, and excellence within the team.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Extensive experience (minimum 10 years) in engineering leadership roles within the shipbuilding or maritime industry.
Proven track record of successfully delivering complex engineering projects on time and within budget.
Strong technical expertise in ship design, naval architecture, marine systems, and related disciplines.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards, such as ABS, DNV, IMO, etc.
Experience working with cross-functional teams in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
