The Director of Enterprise Systems Support shall be a systems support resource regarding the selection, implementation, optimization, maintenance and support of systems supporting Peter Millar's information systems. This position collaborates with all groups across IT, along with key customers in marketing, operations, and other departments, to insure the proper monitoring, communication, and uptime of key business applications. The position needs to be familiar with the latest database, software development, and cloud technologies as well as have in-depth knowledge of the latest technologies, processes, enterprise ticketing and service optimizations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Leading a team of Support Technicians finding inefficiencies and drive process improvement to enhance the productivity of all Peter Millar assets.
Organizational management, planning, and implementation (including staffing, employee development, and budget)
Operations and Information Systems team development
Ensure Enterprise Support Systems needs are fully met, while ensuring the foundational processes, architecture, and standards are in place.
Review performance of systems to determine operating costs, productivity levels, and upgrade requirements.
Define and communicate service level agreements, and resource allocation to executive team, department leads, support staff, and end users.
Benchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement of the ESS infrastructure and ESS systems.
Develop bid requirements for all hardware and software upgrades, review submitted bids for compliance with stated requirements.
Oversee the monitoring, maintenance, development, change management, and support of all hardware and software based on department needs.
Oversee negotiation and administration of vendor, 3rd party system providers / owners, and consultant contracts and service agreements.

Familiar with industry trends (both business and technology), emerging technologies capabilities and limitations, existing production systems capabilities and limitations, and customer needs.
Possess strong conceptual and creative thinking skills, and able to work as a business partner envisioning business solutions that are enabled by technology.
Understand the business strategy and objectives and develop corresponding technology strategies and objectives.
Critical thinking skills, familiar with problem solving tools and techniques, and able to communicate options, conclusions, and recommendations to both the business and the technology teams.
Understand the financial and operational metrics driving the business and their customer. Understanding of ROI and value calculations.
DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, CIS, or related field or equivalent relevant experience.
7 years experience managing technology system teams (information systems, hosting systems, etc.), managing a portfolio of technical systems supporting one or more business domains/areas and technical domains/areas, creating programs and supporting project plans, scope documents, business requirements, design, testing documentation and other deliverables within a software development lifecycle methodology 3 years operating, maintaining and supporting a production business system portfolio.
