As the Director of Event Sales, you will be developing, soliciting and strategically managing existing accounts and driving new revenue and accounts.

Responsibilities:
General focus on identifying and generating new Catering Clients through online research, monthly personal offsite sales calls and mandatory sales blitz and weekly site tours
Prospect local non-profits and charities, local corporations and associations to increase private event revenue by creating strategic partnerships
Sell merchandise and up-sell food and beverage related to catering events
Report and work directly with General Manager & Director of Sales to write and implement quarterly sales and marketing game plans to achieve catering sales budget
Represent Embassy Suites Rockford Riverfront at Local Industry Trade Show and Association Events to create brand awareness and drive revenue
Represent Embassy Suites Rockford Riverfront at a minimum of three Local Bridal Showcases and host one Wedding Open house at the hotel per year

Requirements:
Five years of previous event sales experience preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to speak clearly and listen attentively
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Effective problem-solving skills; ability to handle pressure with poise and finesse
Positive attitude, outgoing and friendly personality
Strong leadership skills and a professional image
