Job Description - Director of Events
We are seeking an experienced
Wedding Director
for a premier waterfront wedding venue in
Door County, WI . Situated on over 100 acres with a half-mile of shoreline, the venue offers breathtaking indoor and outdoor event spaces, showcasing stunning waterfront and sunset views. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of wedding coordination and execution for ceremonies. The ideal candidate will be client-focused, providing exceptional service with integrity.
Compensation: $65,000-$85,000 (Commensurate with experience) + bonus, comprehensive health, 401k + match, PTO, and more!
Relocation will be provided on a case-by-case basis and temporary housing options are available.
Flexible off-season schedule!
Requirements:
2+ years of event leadership experience with a strong emphasis on wedding sales and coordination.
Ability to work cohesively with a team of industry professionals.
Knowledge and ability to execute “day of” responsibilities for weddings.
Capable of building strong relationships with clients while ensuring timeline controls.
Exceptional multi-tasking skills and a passion for weddings.
Responsibilities:
Directs and coordinates all banquets and events.
Negotiates contracts, assists in the selection of menu items, conducts tours, and schedules banquet staff.
Communicate customer needs to the appropriate departments and facilitate weekly BEO meetings.
Prepare reporting and documentation used for a year and month-end accounting.
Develops and maintains banquet accounts by ensuring customer satisfaction before, during, and after the event.
