We are seeking a Director of Facilities & Capital Improvement
to lead all capital improvement and facilities maintenance efforts across two luxury private Clubs on Bald Head Island: the BHI Club and the Shoals Club. This is a high-impact leadership role at a premier coastal destination that blends resort-style hospitality with elite member service.

💼 What You’ll Do

As the Director of Facilities & Capital Improvement, you’ll serve as:

• Superintendent of all capital construction projects


• Project Manager for Master Plan and Operating Capital initiatives


• Department Head for Facilities Maintenance, Housekeeping, Warehouse, and Transportation

You’ll manage multi-million-dollar projects, lead preventative maintenance strategies, supervise talented teams, and ensure operational excellence across every system—from HVAC to aquatics to electrical and plumbing.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading capital construction projects from permitting through punch-out


• Overseeing maintenance, housekeeping, and logistics teams


• Budgeting, financial tracking, and vendor negotiation


• Managing compliance with codes, permits, and safety protocols


• Developing preventative maintenance schedules and asset management plans


• Using project management tools to report, forecast, and deliver on time

• Strong background in facilities operations, commercial construction, or hospitality engineering


• Hands-on knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance systems


• Experience managing budgets, teams, and projects simultaneously


• Skilled communicator who collaborates well with executive leadership, vendors, line staff, and cross-functional teams


• Technically adept and able to interpret architectural plans and construction drawings


• Certifications such as CPO, Superintendent, HVAC, or related credentials are a strong plus

💰 Compensation & Perks

• $120,000 - $135,000 annual salary (DOE)
