Role Overview

The Director of Facilities Management will oversee all aspects of facilities operations, including utilities, building systems, grounds, and equipment. This includes managing preventive and reactive maintenance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and partnering with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the plant operations team and manage day-to-day maintenance and project work

• Ensure compliance with authorities having jurisdiction (e.g., Joint Commission, DNV-GL, ACHC, CMS, NFPA, OSHA)

• Maintain documentation per performance standards

• Monitor the safety program and partner with the Environment of Care Committee

• Provide training and performance evaluations to FM associates

• Supervise subcontractors and vendor relationships

• Collaborate with site leadership on facility planning and improvements

• Implement innovative and forward-thinking solutions for facility needs

Qualifications

• Behavioral healthcare experience preferred

• Working knowledge of authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs) and experience maintaining compliance with them

• Forward-thinking mindset to anticipate and address facility needs proactively

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction, or Business (preferred)

• 3+ years’ healthcare facility management experience with a degree; 5+ years without

• Knowledge of CMS, OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and other standards

• Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and facility management systems

Additional Requirements

• A Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check will be completed prior to employment, and successful clearance is required

• OSHA 10 certification (General Industry) required within 6 months

• CHFM, CHSP, CMM, or similar credential preferred
