La Pecora Bianca is rapidly growing and is seeking a Director of Facilities to oversee all current and future locations in the New York City Area.
The ideal candidate has 6-10 years of experience in a leadership role in facilities for a multi-unit restaurant group or hotel, or be a General Contractor or Mechanical Engineer. Strong technical knowledge and hands on experience of all aspects of restaurant facilities maintenance, including HVAC, refrigeration, food prep and production equipment, electrical, plumbing and building systems, as well as governing codes, safety (OSHA) rules, sanitation (NSF), and building codes is required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage maintenance and compliance of facility/equipment for all locations as well as develop strategic initiatives and proactive programs to improve service delivery and manage repair issues for existing stores

Refrigeration
Plumbing systems (grease traps, ejector pits etc.)
HVAC systems
Front of House areas/repairs
Overall cleanliness and operational readiness
Manage all vendor contracts and relationships
Coordinate maintenance/repair work assignments as needed. i.e. including arranging access for early morning/overnight appointments if necessary
Inspect all properties on a regular basis to identify issues, ensure work conforms to specifications, and initiate any repair or replacement needs and/or adjustment of working procedures. Ensure cleanliness standards are adhered too and assist management of outsourced cleaning companies to hold them accountable to their scope
Work closely with vendor partners on contractual commitments and ensure expected level of service is received.
Troubleshoot restaurant issues and calls vendors as needed; coordinate response to facilities emergencies
Build inventory of common fail parts to eliminate wait time on repairs for standard items e,g. thermocouple, thermostat, hoses for desco, air shutters
Own the complete ‘permit binder’
Ensure facilities are in code and regulatory compliance with all federal, state, and local agencies
Oversee renewal and of any DOB, FDNY and other permits necessary for compliance including DOH etc.
Accountable for all FDNY permitting and licensing work including trip tests and extinguisher tags, ansul inspections etc.
Accountable for financial results and performance
Owns the R&M line of all restaurant P&L with mandate to reduce cost and maximize vendor efficiencies/scale
Keep open communication with store leaders on project and repair statuses.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Availability to work nights, weekends and holidays
Ability to lift 50+ pounds
s12, s13, s95, and g93 FDNY certifications are preferred.
