The Director of Facility Planning, Engineering and Construction reports directly to the Vice Chancellor of Finance and Administration. The Division of Finance and Administration include the departments of Facilities Planning and Construction, Financial Operations, Financial Planning and Budget, Facility Services, Information Technology, Human Resources, University Police and Parking Services, Office of Sustainability, Risk Management / Environmental Health and Safety. The Director of Facility Planning, Engineering and Design is responsible for all design and construction projects at University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point. The position leads a team of campus planners, project managers, and designers. The department is ultimately responsible for coordinating the implementation of the capital projects and the overall management of physical space in coordination with the expressed needs of academic programs and other relevant areas. This position works closely with units across campus to deliver projects which meet the needs of campus stakeholders. The Director will ensure that all planning, design and construction projects are completed on time and on budget to support the campus mission and initiatives.
The Facilities Planning, Engineering, & Design (PED) office is responsible for short- and long-range planning and implementation of improvements to the University's physical facilities. They are key to ensuring the success of the Campus Capital Plan. The PED office is responsible for the oversight of capital projects, internal renovation projects, and space planning. The PED office works with user groups across campus to understand facility and project needs.
The Director of Facility Planning, Engineering and Construction is a full-time, salaried, exempt, annual (12-month) position.
Salary is commensurate with the candidate’s education, related experience, and qualifications.

Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field, from an accredited college or university.
Minimum 5 years of experience related to project oversight, surveying, or construction management.
Demonstrated experience leading, and working collaboratively with, a wide range of teams.
Experience working with various constituents related to projects and communicating with a variety of audiences.
Master’s degree in engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration, Public Administration or related areas from an accredited college or university.
Experience in budgeting and financial management
Experience with sustainability and/or energy management.
