KIPP Texas is part of the national KIPP network of 255 college-preparatory public charter schools in 20 states and the District of Columbia. Nationwide, KIPP students complete four-year college at a rate of 36 percent, comparable to the national average for all students and approximately three times higher than the average of students from low-income communities.
The Student Enrollment and Data Team is focused on ensuring that schools are fully enrolled so that students are free to create the future they want for themselves and their communities. The team supports this vision through application acquisition, family onboarding, cultivation, and persistence. The Senior Director of Family Cultivation, Engagement, and Persistence will be responsible for curating a cohesive experience for families as they move through the enrollment cycle. This role will partner closely with the acquisition teams, school operations, and school management. The Senior Director will be an individual who has demonstrated success with family engagement tactics that have improved persistence and outcomes for students at the school or district level.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and oversee the implementation of KIPP Texas’ cultivation efforts for both New-to-KIPP and rising students
Oversee the creation and development of programs, policies, and services in support of students retention and success
Establish and implement strategies to promote authentic family involvement
Partner with marketing and communication to develop a regular schedule of outreach to families in various channels
Adapt best practices and recommendations to meet the different needs of grade bands
Ensure touchpoints with families across all student enrollment and data teams feel cohesive
Training and Professional Development
Create an Arc of the Year for the Family Engagement Specialist (FES) Role
Develop supporting materials and trainings to ensure that FESs are positioned to execute strategies effectively
Inspect the implementation of schools based strategies and provide timely feedback including clear actions
Support FESs with school specific questions and planning
Data Management and Reporting
Establish metrics and key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness and impact of student persistence and experience
Utilize data analytics tools to track and measure the effectiveness of engagement efforts
Identify gaps in data access and visualization and partner with stakeholders to address the gaps
Prepare regular reports on persistence, trends, and projections for senior leadership, school board members, and other stakeholders
Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration:
Partner with School Management to ensure persistence efforts align with key culture initiatives
Align with other team leads on student enrollment and data to ensure alignment of all support and training resources
Skills and Qualifications
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong project and time management skills; ability to effectively backwards plan, juggle multiple priorities with great attention to detail, and deliver consistent and timely results
Strong strategic and analytical skills with an aptitude for shifting from in moment troubleshooting to systems-building
Proven track record of implementing process improvements and driving operational excellence.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Required Education and/or Experience:
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in school based experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.

This role can be based in the following locations with KIPP Texas Public Schools: Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, San Antonio
Travel Requirements:
Ability to travel to various locations, travel time approximately 10%
Compensation and Benefits
Salary is based on years of experience, degree of education, and level of expertise.
