The Challenge:


The Director of Finance will oversee all financial operations at Saalt, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. As a strategic and analytical leader, the Director of Finance will work closely with the executive team to drive the company’s financial strategy and ensure operational excellence. This role requires a hands-on, proactive leader with a strong command of financial systems and processes, ideally with NetSuite or a comparable ERP.



What you’ll do:



  • Lead the preparation and timely delivery of accurate financial statements and internal reporting

  • Manage financial forecasting, including cash flow modeling and scenario analysis

  • Partner with external accountants to deliver reviewed financials in accordance with loan requirements

  • Establish and monitor key financial KPIs to guide business decision-making

  • Build and maintain period-over-period reporting, including channel-level performance

  • Drive budgeting processes and manage procurement and capital investment planning

  • Collaborate with department leaders to align budgets with business objectives and improve profitability

  • Maintain and enhance internal controls, credit policies, and financial compliance practices

  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulatory requirements

  • Strengthen financial operations and controls across the accounting function

  • Advise teams on process improvements and help implement scalable financial systems

  • Oversee inventory accounting and COGS reporting across 3PL and warehouses

  • Provide financial analysis and modeling for strategic initiatives and business cases

  • Document and manage R&D tax credit initiatives in collaboration with tax advisors

  • Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing accounting and finance team



What you’ll need to succeed:



  • Hands-on expertise in NetSuite or a comparable ERP system is required

  • Deep understanding of financial statements, reporting, and data interpretation

  • Solid grasp of finance principles, capital markets, and cash management

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate financial data to all levels of the business

  • Strong experience with e-commerce and inventory-based businesses

  • Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace

  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and driven by continuous improvement

  • Track record of working cross-functionally to improve financial performance

  • Strong leadership, project management, and team development skills



Compensation:


$125,000–$150,000 annual salary, plus perks listed below, dependent on experience.
