Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts to ensure organizational stability
- Performs daily cash management and maintenance of recurring journal entries; prepares non-recurring journal entries
- Oversee accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, policies, and audit requirements
- Manage cash flow, investments, and financial risk assessments
- Collaborate with leadership to support program development and organizational growth through financial insights
- Prepare and present financial reports to the Board of Directors and executive team
- Manages the annual independent audit, the preparation of financial statements and the IRS 990 tax form
- Acts as liaison with audit team, YMCA Finance Committee and Board of Directors
- Process office petty cash and replenishes account as needed
- Works with vendors and staff to resolve invoice discrepancies and keep accounts current
- Balances Account Payables General Ledger at month end
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision; manage crisis and high stress situations, and ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines effectively

Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA or CFA certification preferred
- Proven experience in financial management, preferably within nonprofit or community organizations
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and audit processes
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to always maintain confidentiality with regards to association matters
- Effective communication and leadership abilities
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to travel locally (as needed) for meetings, purchases, ceremonies, and events
