MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Responsible for hiring, training, managing and evaluating fiscal and budget staff.
· Oversee preparation, implementation, and revision of the government and private grant budget.
· Improve and formalize budget procedures by creating detailed cost analysis by program and tasking program directors with oversight and responsibility for their portion of the budget.

· Responsible for the preparation of various financial statements and reports with timeliness and accuracy.
· Ensure timely completion of grant financial reporting and support documentation, and other fiscal documents including budget modification, continued funding applications, contract renewal etc.
· Streamlined procedures for efficiency and implementing new policies to strengthen internal controls producing fewer errors and increasing accuracy and timeliness of reporting.
· Ensure the accurate and timely monthly closing process.
· Direct the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue recognition, fixed asset depreciation, timely capturing operating expenses, and cash receipts.
· Monitor cash flow status including bank reconciliation and investment reconciliation.
· Oversee monthly review of program expenditures to ensure grant spending is within the scope of the grants and contracts and review financial statements with management personnel.
· Work with the Chief Financial Officer to ensure complies with all funding agencies’ program Fiscal requirement.
· Lead all internal, external and funder instructed fiscal audits involving review of accounting and administrative, and internal controls.
· Establish, implementing, monitoring, and updating Fiscal policy and procedures to ensure internal control and to comply with GAAP, State, and Federal regulation and guidelines.
· Oversee the maintenance of fixed assets, inventory supplies, and other related policies, procedures, and controls.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
· Occasionally ascends/descends stairs.
· At times may be required to lift up to 25 lbs. for various classrooms and events needs.
