Director of Finance and Accounting - Hospitality - Hiring Fast

Our client is an elite establishment in the Senior Living/Hospitality industry. They seek a Director of Accounting to oversee 4 direct reports. CPA is required with at least 7 years' accounting experience. ERP and Payroll knowledge is essential.

What you will be doing:​

• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to assure goals are met/exceeded in operations, human resources, and sales
• Responsible for hiring, training, development, performance evaluation, functional development and disciplinary action
• Responsible for all accounting operations: payroll, cash receipts and disbursements, AP, fixed assets, GL account reconciliation, journal entries and analysis of financial reports
• Conduct administrative and accounting activities in a cost-effective manner
• Direct preparation and review monthly GL and financial reports
• Ensure all reports accurately reflect financial health
• Develop the department administrative budget
• Lead preparation of the company’s annual budget
• Coordinate preparation for annual financial audit
• Ensure audit is performed according to schedule without deficiencies, major adjustments or cost overruns

What you need to qualify:

• 7+ years' general accounting experience to include balance sheet management, and financial statement preparation
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; MBA is preferred
• Real Estate, Senior Living and/or Healthcare experience is a plus
• Knowledge of GAAP and hands-on experience with automated accounting systems
• Working knowledge of healthcare operations and Medicare reimbursement practices is a plus
• Proficient in MS Office and payroll software; familiarity with ADP, JD Edwards and Achieve Matrix a plus.
• CPA is required
