Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to fill the role of Director of Finance, Operations, and HR. The successful candidate will lead a team dedicated to supporting the enablement functions of our professional staffing firm. This multifaceted role requires expertise in finance, operations, and human resources, as well as a proactive approach to streamlining processes and fostering a culture of excellence. This individual will be on the Senior Leadership team and report directly to the President.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Management-Lead and manage a team of 3 individuals responsible for functions including payroll, employee onboarding, compliance, immigration, accounts receivable, accounts payable, 401k administration, HR compliance / generalist, finance, accounting, audit, cash management and more
-Implement organizational restructuring to optimize team efficiency and effectiveness.
Finance Management:-Oversee financial operations utilizing QuickBooks.Manage end-of-year financial tasks including W-2, 1099, property tax, workers' compensation audit, 401k audit, and tax returns.
-Process payroll biweekly and manage invoicing to clients, vendor bills, and internal team.
Operational Efficiency and Process Improvement:-Streamline operational processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
-Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational optimization.
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and best practices.
Team Leadership and Development:-Provide leadership and guidance to the finance and operations team, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability.
-Establish clear objectives and performance metrics, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
-Support professional development and training initiatives for team members.
Vendor Management:-Manage relationships with external partners, including vendors, financial institutions, and regulatory authorities.
-Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
-Evaluate and onboard strategic partners to support business growth initiatives.
Human Resources:-Oversee Workers Comp issues, FMLA, and sick policies.
-Manage immigration processes and employee onboarding.
Qualifications:-Minimum 8 years of experience in bookkeeping/accounting.5+ years of experience in a professional staffing and/or consulting firm in an operational and finance leadership role.-Hands-on approach with a high level of organization, discipline, and accuracy.-Strong team networking and leadership skills.-Ability to collaborate effectively with other departments and take ownership of projects.-Experience guiding IT requirements for finance department needs.
