Job Description - Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

Position: Director of FP&A

Client Profile:

Peer-to-peer carsharing company. The company allows private car owners to rent out their vehicles via an online and mobile interface. Strong international presence and with strong developing market share in the US

Responsibilities:

Lead monthly and quarterly forecasting processes:
Develop a deep understanding of all forecasting models maintained by the team, understanding the inputs and how those business drivers affect the forecast
Own the budgeting process including development of department specific budgets
Oversee the financial reporting, including weekly, monthly and quarterly packages for key internal and external stakeholders
Developing and evolving on insightful financial and operational dashboards and reporting packages and other presentations to the client and/or Senior Management
Driving and managing ad hoc analysis / special projects
Periodic and Ad Hoc creation of various management reports analyzing sales, and customers & business units’ profitability

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field required; MBA preferred
6+ year’s experience in FP&A field
3+ years in a management position with at least 5 direct reports
Knowledge of GAAP
Ability to thoroughly understand how decisions affect other areas of the company
Exceptional communication skills, and ability to present ideas clearly across multiple teams
Expert understating of MS Excel and major ERP system
