About the Role
What is the Director of Grants & Contract Compliance?
As a member of 211's Administration and Finance team, the Director of Grants and Compliance is responsible for identifying, assessing, and responding to grant and funding opportunities, including but not limited to foundations, corporations, and government funding sources, to support 211 San Diego operations. This position works closely with program and fiscal staff to develop proposals and transition awarded opportunities into implementation, monitor contract and program compliance and reporting.
The opportunities identified by this position will generate and sustain revenue streams necessary for 211’s daily operations to function at full capacity and in a sustainable way.
What You’ll Do
As a key member of the team, you will:
- Lead, influence, or otherwise collaborate with partners to develop strategies and business cases for new opportunities that are aligned with 211 and CIE goals.
- Attend cultivation or solicitation of meetings, presentations, and other events.
- Attend community and networking events and fundraisers representing 211 San Diego.
- Help determine screening criteria, value creation, and rationale for targeting new opportunities.
- Secure proper authorizations to move the project(s) forward.
- Develop new scopes of work in collaboration with program staff and leadership.
- Work with fiscal and program staff to develop, prepare, and submit budgets and proposals.
- Manage contract and subcontract execution as well as amendments and renewals.
- Manage fiscal compliance hand-off.
- Oversee program rollout to internal stakeholders.
- Manage ongoing high-level funder relationships.
