Job Description - Director of Health Systems Finances

Overview

The Green Mountain Care Board is in search of a Director of Health System Finances to work as part of the Board's innovative and dynamic leadership team. This position will spearhead the Board's health systems regulatory work as it continues to evolve in a value-based care environment. This position manages a team of skilled finance and data professionals.

The Board is a remote/flexible work environment.

Environmental Factors

Work is performed primarily in a standard office setting but some travel will require private means of transportation. Duties may require extensive time outside of normal work hours. The successful candidate will be expected to attend public meetings and hearings and to testify before the Legislature and the Board. The role also requires working individually with five Board members on requests and proposals. A wide diversity of opinion and emotions can be anticipated for which diplomacy and tact will be required.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, finance, statistics, economics, business administration, or related field AND five (5) years or more of experience with accounting, budgeting, fiscal auditing or analysis, or related field that includes experience managing a major fiscal program or operations.
OR
Seven (7) years or more of experience with accounting, budgeting, fiscal auditing or analysis, or related field that includes experience managing programs, funding sources, or staff.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in relevant field.
Supervisory experience.
Experience working with Accountable Care Organization operations or CMS All Payer Model agreement(s).
Experience working with regulatory boards under Vermont's Open Meeting Law.
Experience with hospital budgets or insurance premium rate development or review.
